Here’s how.

1. Log into ChatGPT

2. Click “Create” in the Top Right Corner

  • You’ll be taken to the GPT Builder
  • Choose Create from scratch or explore templates

3. Name Your GPT

  • Use a name you will understand instantly
Example: “Tracy – Real Estate Lead Pro” or “Jessica – Fashion Copywriter”

4. Add a Short Description

  • This appears under your GPT’s name
  • Keep it simple
Example: “Helps write compelling property listings with high-converting CTAs”

5. Upload a Profile Picture

  • Use your logo, a face, or icon that fits your brand
  • Square format works best

6. Fill Out the Instructions

This shapes the GPT’s personality, tone, and knowledge.

You’ll see prompts like:

  • What should the GPT know about you to provide better responses?
  • How should it respond?

Add details such as:

  • Your brand values
  • Your audience
  • What kind of tasks it should help with
  • Preferred tone and style

(Ive added a sample Training script below)

7. Add Tools (Optional)

Turn on any of these if they apply:

  • DALL·E for image generation
  • Browser for current info
  • Code Interpreter for calculations or charts

Only choose what’s useful.

8. Upload Files (Optional)

  • Drop in PDFs, spreadsheets, or brand guidelines
  • The GPT will use them to respond more accurately

9. Test It

  • Use the right-hand chat window to try it out
  • Edit your instructions if needed

10. Click “Update and Publish”

  • Choose visibility: Public, Unlisted, or Only Me
